Abstracts

Contributions can be made in all topics of diabetology. Abstracts can be submitted only by e-mail to the address of the President of the Congress mc_rkoch@cablebg.net or congress@gmedc.eu
Accepted abstracts will be published in the journal „Diabetes, Stoffwechsel und Herz“.
Deadline for abstracts submission is 30th April 2008. Information about abstract acceptance will be sent by e-mail within a week from its submission. Please, do not forget to give your e-mail address!
Instructions for authors:
• Start with the abstract title, then give authors names and their affiliations.
• The abstract should be structured using following headings: aims, material and methods, results and conclusions.
• The abstract should be written in German or in English.
• The text of the abstract should not exceed 3 000 characters (including spaces).
• There should be no tables or figures in the abstract.

Travel grants
Authors, aged below 45 years, can apply for a travel grant of 500 € (in general this should be the first author of the abstract or there can be one applicant per abstract). Necessary requirements for the grant approval are 1. abstract acceptance, and 2. active FID-membership. The membership in the Central European Diabetes Association can be applied for simultaneously with the applying for a travel grant (membership fee per year 10 Euro, homepage: www.fid.at).
Applications for a travel grant should be submitted in a written form, along with the required documents to the secretary of the Association, Assoc. Professor Dr. Raimund Weitgasser, Paracelsus Medizinische Privat-Universität, St. Johanns-Spital, Müllner Hauptstraße 48, A-5020 Salzburg, Austria.
